Our journey started during the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year of our founder, Okolie Christian Emeka, in Niger State (2005/2006). Fueled by a deep passion to uplift young minds, Emeka organized inspiring seminars for primary and secondary school students that focused on positive values and essential leadership skills. Recognizing the power of knowledge, he generously donated 500 copies of his book, “Preparing for School,” to school libraries throughout the state igniting a spark that would evolve into a lifelong mission.
In 2012, this passion culminated in the formal registration of SOEI, an organization powered by an ever-growing network of volunteers, partners, and changemakers dedicated to advancing educational equity. Since then, SOEI has tirelessly worked to break barriers to education and champion initiatives that nurture future leaders, ensuring that no child is left behind due to economic or geographic challenges.
